Roll of Honor

Year of Death: 1983

Eddie F. Jackson

Submitted by his wife

Eddie Frank (‘Indian to his friends’) saw his work as more than a job. After serving in the Army for 3 years‚ he served as a fireman for the City of Pensacola for 16 years. He earned a Presidential Citation of Merit for the lives he had saved.

Eddie was a loving husband and father to his wife Gloria‚ and his 3 children‚ Tommy‚ Paul‚ and Ann. Within the love for his family he also included his friends. He enjoyed every minute they spent together whether it was sitting around or going fishing.

But‚ Eddie’s real talents lay in coaching abilities. For 20 years he molded and developed the character of minor children as he coached them in baseball. His kids won trophy after trophy.

Eddie occupies a special place in our hearts. If the value of a man is measured by the void he leaves in others‚ Eddie Frank Jackson was a man of the universe.
