Firefighter Edward R. Pecoroni, 72, of the Fire Department City of New York – Engine 70, died on August 6, 2023, from illness related to response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.
The National Emergency Training Center (NETC) campus will be closed during the government shutdown, including access to the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial.
