George Knight was a WWII veteran with the US Navy. He attended Schoolfield United Methodist Church. He loved to play Golf‚ the Washington Redskins and the UNC Tarheels.
He is survived by his wife Vera; two sons and their wives; four grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
He was a father to all of his men. He said he would never send any of his men into a fire or danger that he wouldn’t go into first to make sure it was safe.

Two great grandsons have been added to his family. He would have loved to spoil them all.

Knight will always be remembered as saying he would never send his men in where he did not go first. To know him was to love him. I LOVE YOU DADDY. See you someday.
