Hoseman Harry Tuck Lee Pang, age 30, of the Honolulu Fire Department died during the attacks on Pearl Harbor while fighting fires at Hickam Field on December 7, 1941.

Aunty Marian told me she was stationed at Pearl Harbor in Nursing Corps that week of the Attack. She was a Corporal in the US Army in the Nursing Corps.
She was running around outside when the Attack started in Pearl Harbor. Bombs dropping all around her hitting buildings and Japanese Airplanes machine gun bullets spraying all over the place . She was trying to get out of Harms way in a open area where Jap planes were shooting.
All of a sudden in her “Mind” she saw as real as Life Image , Harry on the ground face up in his Fireman’s Uniform with machine gun bullet holes diagonally across his chest. She thought they got Harry. She stopped running and stood still is all that was happening and started crying.
All of a sudden machine gun bullets hit the area around her and woke her up from her Mind.
She ran to cover.
She reported to the Nursing Station when the Attack was over. Nurses had Morphine shots prepared as the Causalities keep pouring in. Military carrying wounded by hand to the Nursing Station.
Those who were in the burning water of oil were brought in also. The Morphine shot did not help them as their flesh was dropping off and you could see their bones. They died in Valor.
She said she was so Proud of them, as they all died in Valor!!
Four days later she was called into the Morgue at Hickam to Identify a Body. It was Uncle Harry Pang with Machine gun bullets diagonally across his fireman’s Uniform just as she had see him when he was hit. She said she was at Pearl Harbor during the Attack, and Harry was at Hickam.
