Sidney got on the department at the age of 16 as a junior fireman with his father Hubert ‘Peanut’ Jones. Sidney quickly rose through the ranks to become the youngest Chief at the time.

He had 1 daughter‚ Hannah. He thought the sun rose and set around her. He was loved by many.

He made a career at Cherry Hospital as a maintenance supervisor. He loved softball but most of all his fire department.
