Jeremy D. Chandler

Jeremy Chandler‚ a kid at heart‚ a heart that was as big as life itself‚ with a bear grin always on his face‚ living his life to the fullest. Jeremy was full of energy‚ excited about everything‚ simple and straightforward. He knew no strangers and remembered everyone’s name. Anyone who met Jeremy could tell immediately that he had a big heart‚ a kind soul and was considered a friend from that time forward. He liked people; they liked him and remembered him. Jeremy‚ a heart of gold‚ a man of determination who loved his Creator and the life he was given. Life was a joy to him‚ one adventure after another. He loved four wheelers‚ remote control cars‚ camping‚ swimming‚ golfing‚ Mountain Dew‚ pizza‚ a movie and kids. He loved kids and they loved the ‘big kid.’

From the day Lisa‚ his sister‚ was born‚ he was her buddy‚ protector‚ and he teased her unmercifully. Jeremy was an awesome uncle/dad to his niece Hannah. He was her uncle‚ dad‚ buddy‚ friend‚ and idol all wrapped up in one special man.

Jeremy met the love of his life‚ Angie‚ in 1999. He fell head over heels in love with her and her three children. They became a family in August 2001. Jeremy loved being a husband and dad with a passion – Angie‚ Sierra‚ Alex and Cassie captured his heart. They filled up his life and made it complete.

Another passion of his life was being a firefighter. Jeremy loved volunteering his time‚ serving for nearly 10 years. He was honored by being awarded the Firefighter of the Year in 1996 and again in the year of 2001 (posthumous).

Jeremy lives on in our lives. He lives in our memory and his impact will leave us forever changed. He was an average man in his own eyes‚ but in ours and in the Lord’s we know he was a hero and person to admire‚ a loyal friend‚ a son to be proud of‚ and a good man with a giant heart. We are thankful God gave you to our family‚ Jeremy.
