As brothers do, we went at it when playing golf against each other. I’d say he bested me 5 out of every 7 times but it was always fun and never a dull moment. We’d play the back tees and see who’d get bragging rights. I miss him every day with his great smile, concave dimple, and very funny sense of humor. It always saddens me that my wife Martha never got a chance to meet John as we met about 2 years after his death. We are fortunate to have a bit of video with him playfully wrestling with our niece and nephew, Nick & Kristen. I draw comfort knowing that we stand proud of John having died a hero.
