To know Josh was to love Josh through his contagious smile, quick-wittedness, huge heart, and hands made of stone.

He was a brave Wichita firefighter, skillful carpenter by trade, and a passionate coach to many in the softball community.

While he was outnumbered by five girls at home, he was proud to raise his daughters with his wife, Kerri, as he watched them grow up on theater stages, volleyball courts, and softball fields.

His friends and fellow firefighters remember him not just for his helpful spirit but by his ability to make anything a competition, as well as his willingness to laugh at himself.

Josh will be missed for many reasons, but mostly because he made those around him a little bit better.

He is survived by his wife, Kerri, and daughters, Emily, Brooke, Macy, and Lauren. Josh was honored through a citywide procession thanks to the Wichita Fire Department Honor Guard.
