Keith was born June 1, 1955, in Staten Island, New York, and attended Moore Catholic High School. He lived in Orange County for twenty-five years until moving to El Cajon, California, where he died in the family home he shared with his wife, Donna, on April 4, 2014.
Keith served as a police officer in the NYPD, as did his father, for five years until he transferred to the FDNY. He spent his entire career as a firefighter in Engine 35 in Harlem, New York. His three brothers, Don, Scott, and Gregg, were members of the FDNY at the same time. His brother, Gregg, died on 9/11. Keith proudly served with the department until he retired in 2003.
Keith also owned an excavation company, K Atlas Excavating, until he retired from that in 2012.
Keith was a loving husband. He was devoted to his family, made friends easily, and was always ready to help others who needed assistance. One family member described his life as “Keith to the rescue.” He thoroughly enjoyed life, loved the beach and anything to do with water. He tried his best to never miss a party and genuinely cared about the people he assisted in business and as a firefighter.
