Kevin Kulow felt a calling to be a firefighter in his childhood. He became a junior firefighter while in high school and‚ after graduating‚ became a volunteer with the Sealy Volunteer Fire Department for twelve years.
Last year‚ he finally fulfilled his ambition to become a Houston firefighter. Kevin joined the Houston Fire Department in September 2003 and graduated from the Val Jahnke Training Facility in November 2003. During Kevin’s time at the Academy‚ he was well respected by his fellow classmates. Kevin was assigned to Fire Station 50 at the time of his death.
He was a wonderful husband to wife Marla and a great father to stepson Justin Reynolds and son Kyle and will be greatly missed by us all.

– Alejandro CruzKevin was a very good friend of mine. He was so excited to achieve his life’s dream of becoming a Houston Fireman. He has been gone for 16 years now, but the shock of his loss has never ended.
