Mark Allen McCowan was born on December 7, 1971, to Marlene McCowan and the late Philmore McCowan of Clinchco, Virginia.

Mark has two sisters, Mary McCowan and Kim Dotson, and two daughters, Tori and Savannah McCowan. He is also survived by many other loving extended family members and friends.

Mark touched a lot of lives. He loved those around him unconditionally and is loved and will be missed by all his family and friends.

The fire department was a big part of his family. When he got a call, he was ready to go, no matter the time. He loved working for and giving back to his community. His 35 years of service as a volunteer firefighter was proof of that.

Mark’s greatest achievement was accepting Jesus as his Savior before he passed. We find comfort in knowing we will see him again one day soon.
