Firefighter McDonald “Don” Allen, age 33, of the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base Fire Department, died on November 5, 1942, when a B-26 bomber collided with the crash truck standing by for its landing.
The National Emergency Training Center (NETC) campus will be closed during the government shutdown, including access to the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial.
