Roll of Honor

Lieutenant
Age: 57
Year of Death: 2001
Year Honored:

Robert A. Augustyn

A private man who had two passions: family and firefighting. He died doing what was second best in his life; his family always came first. At the firehouse he was known for his quick wit and was affectionately called ‘Augie.’ Also known for his rough exterior‚ he was most definitely a ‘puppy dog’ inside. He did everything by the book‚ and he would never ask any of the men to do something he would not do himself.

Robert was a model father figure‚ husband and grandfather. He was always there for us whenever we needed him. His seven grandchildren were the ‘apples’ of his eyes.
