Make #GivingTuesday a #FireHeroTuesday

Tuesday, November 28, 2017

Show your support for firefighters who have given their lives and assist their families in coping with the loss of a loved one.

When a tragedy occurs in a community and people call for help, firefighters arrive. Swiftly, they take control of the situation, solve the problem, and offer comfort to those having what could be the worst day of their lives.

But who is there for a fire service family on the worst day of their lives; when their firefighter dies in the line of duty? For the past 25 years, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) has answered that call.

You can help us continue our commitment and answer the call to honor the fallen and support their loved ones.

Here are a few ideas to help prepare for #FireHeroTuesday on November 28, 2017:

Help Our Families and the Fire Service by Sharing Why You Give, Volunteer, or Support the NFFF

#MyGivingStory is a social media storytelling contest created to foster a public conversation about giving and to inspire more people to give. From now through the end of November, we encourage you to share stories about how and why you give to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. Share your story in the #MyGivingStory contest and you could win a grant of up to $10,000 to give to your favorite non-profit organization, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. There are lots of other prizes, too.

Thank you for your support of
America’s fire heroes and their families!
