ONE-TIME DEATH BENEFIT

Career Fire/Rescue Personnel

Career fire/rescue personnel employed by the county are provided with a $10,000 term-life insurance policy funded by the county government. Employees may purchase optional additional coverage. Benefits are payable to the surviving spouse or designated beneficiary.

Volunteer Fire/Rescue Personnel

Bradley County government provides free life insurance through VFIS for qualified members of volunteer fire departments in the county.

Cleveland 100, made up of local business persons, provides immediate financial assistance for dependents of law enforcement, fire and EMS personnel who lose their lives in the line of duty. The organization offers various types of assistance to families of fallen first responders and the amount of financial assistance is determined on a case-by-case basis.
