Amy’s goal is to teach at her local dental hygiene college. She has been a clinical Registered Dental Hygienist for 20 years and works in a fast-paced pediatric dental clinic. She loves her job, but it can be physically taxing. She is pursuing additional education so she can switch to a job that will allow her to continue to work as she ages and to support her 13-year-old son as a single parent.
Amy volunteers with the Gary Sinise Foundation, as well as with her church and her son’s school. She has also volunteered with her local community dental clinic.
Dental hygiene instructor Roxy Reed recommends Amy based on her dedication, hard work, drive, and compassion. BC Ryan Rains says that what sets Amy apart is her vision for the future, her commitment to continuous learning, and making a lasting positive impact on others.
