Carly’s career goal is to own a business and rental properties. At the time of her dad’s death, she was working as a team leader at a supermarket. Although she enjoyed the work, she says her dad always wanted her to go back to school, and the timing felt right. She says that school, “has given me something to work towards in a time where the future doesn’t look so clear anymore.”
Carly and her boyfriend run an online skateboard gear company.
FDNY Captain Andrew Serra describes Carly as bright and hardworking. Kitchen manager John Muscarello says that Carly excelled at her work as a catering coordinator and was skilled at dealing with customers in difficult situations. He complimented her professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond in her work.
