Gracelyn’s career goal is to become an RN specializing in pediatric burn patients. She has an additional goal of paying for college at Montana State University completely through scholarships and not taking out student loans.
Gracelyn has mentored younger children in her school by doing community projects and spending time with them. Her chapter of Business Professionals of America sets up an annual blood drive in their community, where Gracelyn is both a volunteer and a blood donor. She is also involved with her high school student council’s annual food drive for the community. She helps organize the food drive and deliver food to the food bank. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and the volleyball team.
Firefighter William Ethridge describes Gracelyn as earnest and hardworking. School Superintendent Nicole Simonsen says that Gracelyn has always been a leader among her peers. She cites Gracie’s faith, perseverance, grit, and positive attitude in dealing with life’s challenges and says that Gracie has a peaceful presence and brings joy to those around her.
