Grady’s career goal is to become a mechanical engineer and a basketball coach. He says that he does not have time to work and earn money while balancing athletics and academics. His personal goals include “continuing to improve every aspect of my character each day and loving people like Jesus loves.”
In addition to playing collegiate basketball, Grady was a member of the football, basketball, and track and field teams in high school. He was a member of the National Honor Society, Business Professionals of America, and Student Council. He was recognized as a Richland County Academic All-Star. As soon as basketball season ends, he helps on his family’s farm during lambing season.
FF William Ethridge describes Grady as an earnest and hardworking young man. His high school principal, Nicole Simonsen, says Grady earned A-Honor Roll status all four years of high school and took dual-credit courses beginning his sophomore year to earn college credits.
