Kadence’s career goal is to become a registered nurse, working in pediatrics in either a neonatal department or a wound care unit. Her mother is also currently working to complete a college degree.

She participated in FFA and was active with her church’s youth group, through which she participated on mission trips. She is a member of TriBeta, a national honor society for biology majors, where she has focused on research and studied fruit fly genetics. She participates in the Healthcare Occupations Group at USW.

Mirella Enriquez, Executive Director of Undergraduate Admissions and Student Support at the University of the Southwest, says that Kadence’s passion for helping others is contagious and that she has really grown in her first year at the school. Roswell Fire Department BC Warren Aldrich says that Kadence is very driven in her studies and compassionate about medicine.
