Senator Paul Sarbanes Scholarship

Scholarship Recipient

Noah Baity

Major: Pre-Nursing
Academic Scholarship Years:
Son of
Noah Baity

Noah is currently a junior at Charleston Southern University where he is now pursuing his bachelor’s degree in nursing. His career goals after college are to become a nurse where he can help people.

He is not actively participating in extracurricular activities but in high school, he played football and participated with the archery team. Those experiences helped him to develop valuable skills such as teamwork, perseverance, and leadership. Upon graduation, Noah intends to help those who find themselves struggling to pursue a higher degree of education by inspiring them through his experiences.

Fire Chief Daniel Curia states, “I’ve come to know Noah on a personal level and can attest that he has his father’s heart for service. He is studious and dedicated to making a difference in the world. No matter his educational workload, he always finds time to assist his mother with anything she needs. I have found that one of the truest indicators of a person’s character is how they treat their mother. Noah is a man of character and integrity and sets an example for all to follow.”

Noah’s previous scholarship was made possible with support from the Motorola Solutions Foundation and National Association of State Fire Marshals.
