Stephen L. Waldron

Submitted by his Son

Dad had 21 years of service with Niles Fire Department but had several years as a volunteer with Niles Township Fire Department also. He was a licensed electrician on his off days. Dad was always there to lend a hand to anyone who was in need of help.

He leaves behind 3 sons – William‚ Stephen and Eddie.

My fondest memories of my father was going to see him at the station and getting a haircut there then playing on all of the Fire Trucks (with the lights and sirens).

Christopher A. Hilden

Christopher Hilden was on the Swartz Creek fire department from 1974-1989. He was the chief engineer. He worked for Buick in Flint. He loved being on the fire department. It was his passion. His first fire was his own. My brother set his toy box on fire at Christmas. He is by his wife, 4 children, 8 grandkids, 4 great grandkids & another one on the way. He is truly missed by everyone!
