Cynthia Leighton receives special tribute by Congressional Fire Services Caucus Co-Chairman Steny Hoyer from Bill Webb, NFFF Vice Chairman and CFSI Executive Director.

The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation expresses its sincere gratitude to Cynthia Leighton, Vertical Market Manager, Fire and EMS for Motorola Solutions. Ms. Leighton recently announced that she is retiring after a 28-year career with Motorola and Motorola Solutions.

Ms. Leighton has been a loyal and steadfast champion of the Foundation’s efforts to provide the families and fire departments of our nation’s fallen firefighters with the assistance, comfort and hope they need. She has been instrumental in helping to secure valuable resources for the Foundation’s many services, including the Scholarship program, the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend and the Fire Service Survivors Conferences.

“Cynthia has been an incredible liaison for Motorola Solutions with the American Fire Service for many years. Whether it be her work with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF), the Congressional Fire Services Institute (CFSI), or the many other organizations she has touched, her leadership, compassion and supportive approach have always been greatly appreciated. I consider Cynthia a wonderful partner and a very special friend. On behalf of the NFFF Board of Directors, Advisory Committee, Staff, Volunteers and Survivors, we wish her only the very best in the future,” said Chief Dennis Compton, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the NFFF.
