commonvoices_logoA fire demonstration to promote fire safety and home fire sprinklers will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at 12 p.m. during National Fallen Firefighters Foundation’s 6th annual “Firefighter Appreciation Day” at Dover International Speedway. A live side-by-side fire and sprinkler burn demonstration will be hosted in the infield FanZone prior to the NASCAR races.

The demonstration is a dramatic visualization of the tremendous speed of a typical home fire and its potential for deadly destruction and, more importantly, illustrates the vital importance of residential fire sprinkler technology that can save lives, reduce property damage and protect firefighters.

Also, the demonstration leads up to national Fire Prevention Week, which runs October 5-11.
