Few exhibitions create more crowd buzz and excitement than 40-foot flames erupting from the rear of a jet powered truck. It is with similar excitement that the Dragon’s Fyre Jet Truck and Modder Racing Enterprises announce a partnership with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF).

The driving force behind the jet-powered NHRA/IHRA exhibition drag racing vehicle “Dragon’s Fyre” is owner/driver Dave Modder. As a volunteer firefighter for the Town of Randall, Wisconsin Fire Department, this partnership is one that has a high emotional connection.

“Those of us in the fire service know how important the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation is,” said Modder. “For the families of firefighters who have made the ultimate sacrifice, the NFFF provides critical assistance to survivors of fallen firefighters. Our mission is to create awareness of the group’s activities to a much wider audience through drag racing events, air shows, car shows and fire service events. What this Foundation does is very important to me personally, since I’m an active firefighter. We’re very excited and eager to bring those activities into the public eye.”

Chief Ron Siarnicki, the Foundation’s executive director, has high accolades to give when it comes to this new way that the group will be represented.

“The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation appreciates Dragon’s Fyre Jet Truck’s commitment to our mission to honor the fallen, offer support to their families and help reduce firefighter line-of-duty injuries and deaths each year,” said Siarnicki. “The generous support provided through this partnership will help the Foundation continue providing valuable resources to the survivors of the fallen and the fire service.”
