Are you a family member of a firefighter who has been honored at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial? Are you looking for a way to “pay it forward” by helping others deal with grief and loss?

Please watch this video if you are curious about the class or just looking for some skills to help you support friends and family in difficult times.

The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation has a one-day training program for family members of fallen firefighters who want to do outreach to new fire hero families and those who may be struggling with their grief. NFFF Grief Specialist Jenny Woodall and several members of our Peer Support Network recently traveled to Atlanta to participate in the filming of a 30-minute video that summarizes the material covered in the training. Peer Support Network members LeeAnn Koval and Dennis and Jane Neville were interviewed about their experiences with both receiving and providing peer support.
