First Responder Cancer Benefits Bill Introduced

H.R. 1719, the Honoring Our Fallen Heroes Act (Honor Act), has been introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives. This legislation will ensure first responders and their families receive federal benefits for occupational cancer. More specifically, the legislation will ensure firefighters, EMS personnel, and police who die or become disabled due to occupational cancer receive benefits under the Public Safety Officers’ Benefits (PSOB) program.
