The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) is proud to announce the recipients of its inaugural High School Cadet Scholarship Program.

Created to support and inspire the next generation of fire service leaders, the scholarship recognizes outstanding high school fire cadets who have demonstrated leadership, dedication, and a commitment to serving their communities.

Applicants were evaluated through ability to recognize safety issues in the fire service and their ability to suggest solutions and potentially make a lasting impact.

2026 Scholarship Recipients

Congratulations to the following students:

Liam Boyd — Boyd J. Michael III Technical High School Fire and Rescue Academy (Boonsboro, Maryland)

Ethan Lemanski — Ponaganset High School (Chepachet, Rhode Island)

Olivia Miller — Wautoma High School (Neshkoro, Wisconsin)

Ethann Pierre-Louis— Coral Glades High School (North Lauderdale, Florida)

Jaidyn Poyser — South Broward High School (Broward County, Florida)

Each recipient will receive a $3,000 scholarship and an all-expenses-paid trip to attend an NFFF Safety Symposium in late August with an adult chaperone.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to every student who applied. The quality of the applications was inspiring, and we are grateful to each cadet who shared their story, aspirations, and dedication to serving others.

The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation is honored to invest in the future of the fire service and looks forward to seeing the positive impact these young leaders will make in their communities and throughout the fire service.
