39th Annual National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend

A Message from the Chairman of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation’s Board of Directors

Our volunteers, staff and Board of Directors evaluated many options to continue the tradition of gathering in front of the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial this October. While we are disappointed to postpone the 2020 Memorial Weekend events, it is important to know that the nation’s fallen firefighters will not be forgotten. On October 4, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation will broadcast a National Tribute to honor America’s Fallen Firefighters.

You can help keep our firefighters safe

The nation’s fire service is turning to you for help. There’s a lot you can do to make it safer for firefighters. And many of these same actions will help prevent harm to others on the front lines of the COVID-19 battle, like police officers, nurses and doctors.

During the Covid-19 Pandemic, the National Emergency Training Center in Emmitsburg, MD, the home of the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial, is closed to the public. Pending more information on this national emergency, we ask for your patience and understanding.

National Fallen Firefighters Foundation COVID-19 Emergency Fund

COVID-19 fundraising scams hurt the real charities helping those on the front lines

It is important to do your homework and become an informed donor to ensure your money is used wisely. A good place to start is Charity Navigator’s website www.charitynavigator.org. Charity Navigator evaluates U.S. charitable organizations. It does not accept donations or advertising from any of the charities it evaluates.
