His name was Howard but everyone who knew him called him Hallie. He was a pump operator at Station 28 Odenton for 24 years and a volunteer for over 30 years. Hallie was not only a fireman and a beloved man at the station; he was also my dad. I was so proud when I got to go on my first call with my dad driving. I will never forget that ride nor him.
