Michael Leonard

Michael Leonard is the Vice President of Motorola Solutions Sales and Services, Inc. for the Mid-Atlantic region which encompasses Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. Within this territory, he is responsible for strategic business development, customer advocacy, talent development, and aligning teams around a shared vision supporting Motorola’s mission to help build safer cities and thriving businesses.

Mr. Leonard joined Motorola in 2001 and most recently was the Area Sales Manager for Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Washington, D.C. where he led the Motorola focused account sales team. He started his career as a Field Systems Engineer designing mission critical communications systems and later transitioned to a Senior Account Manager position in Maryland and Virginia. In his 17 years with Motorola Solutions, Mr. Leonard has made significant contributions in business development and supporting Motorola in expanding its reach within the wireless communications industry by delivering technology solutions that allow First Responders to “Be their Best in the Moments that Matter.”

Mr. Leonard currently sits on the Board at the Philadelphia Police Foundation, the Montgomery County Maryland Chamber of Commerce and the Washington DC Police Foundation. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Masters of Business Administration and Management from Loyola University of Maryland. Additionally, Mr. Leonard is active in several National and Local Public Safety technology related associations such as the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO), The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), International Wireless Communications (IWCE), All Hazards Consortium (AHC), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Motorola Trunked Users Group (MTUG),and the Maryland Association of Counties (MACO).
