Richard ‘Keith’ Rice‚ Sr.‚ 38‚ Assistant Chief of the Nassauville Volunteer Fire Department‚ died when the apparatus he was driving overturned en route to the scene of an illegal burn on March 28‚ 1998. A jet mechanic for the Air National Guard‚ he had received several service medals during his career.
