The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) is teaming up with the National Fire Protection Association® (NFPA®) to support Fire Prevention Week, October 4–10, 2026.
This year’s theme, “Charge into Fire Safety: Safe Charging Is a Superpower,” focuses on simple steps everyone can take to safely charge lithium-ion battery-powered devices.
Phones, laptops, tools, toys, e-bikes, and scooters all rely on these batteries. When damaged or charged incorrectly, they can overheat and cause fires.
Charge safely. Prevent fires. Protect firefighters.
