Peer Support Training
Event Details
In 1998, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation began working with family members to provide peer support to newly bereaved family members of firefighters who died in the line of duty. Over the years, this dedicated group of family volunteers has extended support to hundreds of people. In 2012, the NFFF formalized the program by creating the Peer Support training to provide additional information, tools, and skills to help family members fill this important role.
