The 2026 Parents and Siblings Retreat offers a dedicated, supportive space for parents and siblings of fallen firefighters honored or approved to be honored at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial—a place to pause, reflect, and explore life’s deeper questions together.
Loss changes everything. During this retreat, you will be invited to reflect on how to honor the memories that live on, extend tenderness and compassion to yourself as you grieve, and move forward with courage and purpose into the future.
Through thoughtfully guided workshops, open discussions, and meaningful opportunities to connect with others who share a similar loss, participants will explore identity, navigate relationships with family, friends, and the fire service community, and begin developing personal goals for living a resilient life. The retreat is designed to foster understanding, connection, and support—reminding you that you are not alone on this journey.
