Lieutenant
Age: 62
Year of Death: 2025
Year Honored:

Adam Lamb

Known affectionately as “Lambo” or “the Unofficial Mayor of Bothell” to his friends, Adam bravely fought his second battle with cancer, this time against mesothelioma, a relentless foe acquired during his selfless service.

Adam is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years, Katherine, his loving children, Dak (15), Prairie (14), and Irie (14), and his adoring dog, Nugget.

Before joining the Bothell Fire Department, Adam served as a captain in the Air Force, where he distinguished himself as a Missileer and a Combat Controller (CCT) Air Force Special Operations Forces known as Air Commandos. He completed the notoriously challenging two-year “pipeline,” one of the toughest training programs in the military, earning full qualification to deploy with Special Forces and Navy SEALs.

Adam was hired by the Bothell Fire Department on February 27, 1998, and dedicated his life to protecting the community, rising through the ranks to lieutenant and battalion chief. During his esteemed career, he served on the Technical Rescue Team (TRT), provided medical support for the Bothell Police Special Response Team (SRT), and responded to Ground Zero after 9/11. Adam was also the first officer on scene during the Main Street fire, earning him a Distinguished Unit Medal for his bravery and leadership. While serving the community of Bothell and surrounding areas, Adam cared deeply and compassionately for his patients, establishing bonds that lasted years to follow. He retired on March 14, 2024, due to his battle with cancer.

Adam was a resilient fighter who cherished his family and friends deeply. In his free time, he loved spending time with his family the most on hikes around the Pacific Northwest and at his cabin, boating and fishing in Eastern Washington, and attending concerts anywhere music was playing. He lit up any room he was in, leaving an instant and lasting impression on anyone lucky enough to cross his path.

Adam’s positive spirit, zest for life, and unwavering passion for service have left an indelible mark on our community and in the hearts of all who knew him.
