I was honored to do the 2022 stair climb to honor Andrew, or Andy. I had a conversation with an FDNY member just prior to the beginning of the climb, and he referred to him as Andy, and said that he knew him. I can’t imagine the loss your family is feeling but take comfort that God welcomes into his arms, those who lay their lives down for another. He is at peace. RIP Brother!

– MarissaShoshone County Idaho Fire District 1 hosted the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb in Wallace, Idaho. I represented Andrew during the climb. It was an especially emotional day as this region lost 2 firefighters to an ambush attack at the base of intentionally set fire on Canfield Mountain in June of this year. Another firefighter was shot and critically injured during the incident and has months, years of rehab ahead of him. We kept them in our hearts as well during the climb. Never forget.
