Arch R. Sligar‚ 52‚ a member of the Bethany Volunteer Fire Department‚ died on June 13‚ 1999‚ while responding to a fire call in a dormitory at West Liberty State College. A member of the department for 10 years‚ Sligar had served as Vice President‚ Lieutenant‚ and Engineer.
