Arthur A. Tullis‚ 61‚ Chief of the LaGrange Park Fire Department‚ died on May 4‚ 1999‚ of a heart attack at the scene of a false alarm. He had been a member of the department for more than 35 years‚ serving as chief for the last 12 years. Tullis received special recognition for his efforts following a train collision in 1977.
Perhaps I am not the most appropriate person to post here as Chief Tullis and I were often at odds with each other. However, that does not diminish the fact that Chief Tullis was one of LaGrange Parks most dedicated members. He cared very much about his Dept and I know he did his best to make it one of the best Volunteer Departments in the state.
