Firefighter
Age: 46
Year of Death: 2021

Clint Jacobs

Clint Jacobs, the oldest of seven children, was born to Donald and Patricia Jacobs on September 25, 1974, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He attended many schools during his school years. In 1993, Clint graduated from Stone High School in Wiggins, where he met his high school sweetheart, Wendy. Immediately after graduation, Clint began working to provide for his future wife. May 7, 1994 was the day his life changed forever, and his family had just begun. Over the next eight years they added three children, Ryan, Kayla, and Sara.

Clint worked hard to provide for his family through the years. One day on his way home from work he came upon a wreck. He was asked to lend a hand, as there weren’t enough people that answered the call. It was that day that he first had the urge to become a volunteer firefighter.

He absolutely loved being able to help anyone and everyone. That was just his nature, and he never met a stranger. Clint even thought about taking classes to become an EMT, and we had no doubt that he would be a great one. Unfortunately, that was never to be. He contracted COVID and was sick for a very short time before his passing at age 46. He was a volunteer for Wiggins and South Central Fire Departments for almost two years.

Clint is survived by his wife, Wendy; their three children and their spouses; and five grandchildren, Dallas, Hayden, Bryson, Addley, and Carter.

We are so thankful that Clint and all the others that gave their all have been given the honor to be placed on this monument.
