Roll of Honor

Corey Morgan

Submitted by his sister

Corey was a very talented and smart young man. At 16 he could already drive a tractor trailer and work in the woods on his dad’s logging job. Corey was in the 10th grade at Bluestone Senior High School. When he was not busy working on the farm or in the woods‚ you could find him on the lake skiing or riding the jet ski.

Corey was on the fire department with his 18 year old sister and would often run calls with her. The question was always: Who was going to drive to the fire station? On February 5‚ 1996 Corey and his sister Jaime were involved in a single car accident on the way to a call. The weather was to blame as it was snow on the ground‚ and the call turned out to be a prank. Corey was thrown from the vehicle and the vehicle came to rest on top of him. He was pulled from beneath the vehicle by his sister‚ where she worked so hard to save him along with our comrades.

Unfortunately‚ God had other plans for Corey in Heaven. Corey is greatly missed by his mom and dad‚ sister‚ both grandmas‚ and aunts. Corey has never been forgotten and is with us always.

  1. Thanks Corey for responding to the call… that’s the can do spirit that my Dad FDNY Firefighter Francis Brown admired!

  2. Corey was loved by many and best friend to my son, Jeramey! We all miss him everyday. So proud to call Corey our friend and proud of his service to our community.
