David Dwayne Hartwick‚ 36‚ a member of the New Braunfels Fire & Rescue‚ died on July 27‚ 1999‚ as he prepared to respond to a structure fire. He served as president of the volunteer department for two years and on the pension board. He was also in charge of repair and maintenance of the department’s antique fire apparatus.
