Edwin Heeber, age 65, of the Green Lane Fire Company, passed away on January 4, 1935.  While responding to a call for a chimney, the engine that he was on overturned. He was a charter member and helped organize the Fire Company in 1918.  Edwin was also a member of the Green Lane Borough Council, served on the Isaac R. Smith Park Commission and was a Trustee and member of the Freiden’s Union Church. He left behind a wife, two daughters and a granddaughter. He was a pillar in his community and will never be forgotten.
