Grant F. Trick‚ 49‚ a 24-year volunteer with the Canton Fire Department-Innes Hose Company‚ collapsed while responding to a controlled burn and died on August 13‚ 2000. He served as Chief for 17 years and Assistant Chief for five years.
Grant was a wonderful dedicated chief to our Canton Volunteer Fire department. He left behind a wife and 2 children. He was very proud of the department and put countless hours in there. Doesn’t seem possible it has been 20 years. Missed by many!
