Henry was a firefighter for 28 years at Ladder 105 Brooklyn‚ New York. Although he could have retired three different times‚ he loved his job too much to do it! He was a loving son‚ brother‚ father and grandfather‚ as well as being a wonderful husband.

I did the 9/11 Stair Climb this morning at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI. I carried a picture of this fine man during the climb, rang the bell at the equivalent of the 78th floor, and belted out his name loudly enough that I think I heard it echo in the stadium. I then finished the remaining 32 floors that the fallen never had the chance to climb. I will never forget the sacrifice that fine men like Henry made on that morning. God bless you, Henry.
– Rick AndersonHello I am trying to contact Janice Testa sister of Henry Miller. Myself and daughter travelled to New York from England for the 10 year Anniversary to pay respects. I wanted to walk the Brooklyn Bridge in memory of Steve Siller and it was such a devine moment when the first person I spoke to, to ask why people were standing around was indeed a friend of Steves!! Of all the people in the world at that time it was amazing. Captain Tom Riley of L105 then introduced me and my daughter to Henry Millers sister Janice. We took part in the procession to the fire station where they were based then onto a lovely church in Brooklyn. We were then invited to a school to help remember those who died. I would love to get message to them as they kindly signed a book and I have always remembered them on 9/11 and I light a candle. I am not sure if anyone reads this can help? Please send my love to the family of Henry Miller and pass on my email address if possible I would love to hear from them. Thank you and God Bless

We joined as Ladder 105 marched 23 FDNY flags from GZ to a
Mass in Brooklyn to remember heroes from Battalion 57lost on that horrific life changing day.
The motto “NEVER FORGET” is appropriate as we were joined by young
firefighters from FDNY and as far away as Anaheim and France.

– Rita MetschI had the privilege of wearing his name and picture on the 5k that I did this morning in Sheboygan Wisconsin. He was 2 years younger than I am when he died. Hits home to realize how young these heroes were. The Town of Sheboygan Fire Dept did a beautiful tribute to the 343 fallen fire fighters. So happy that I could be a part of it.
– Melissa BaumannLast night the City of Bishop, California volunteer firefighters hosted a stair climb at the fairground grandstand in memory of 9/11. There were about 40 firefighters and about 60 people from the community participating. We did the equivalent of 110 flights in one of the twin towers. I carried the picture of this heroic man, Henry A. Miller, Jr. who was just 6 years younger than me. Rest in peace, Mr. Miller, and thank you for your dedication and sacrifice.

Thank you so very much for honoring Henry. It was his birthday last week and can’t imagine it’s been 20 years since we were able to celebrate with him. He is missed everyday. Whenever I visit the 9/11 memorial I think of caring people like you who continue to honor the memories of all those murdered on that horrific day.

I responded to the WTC after the attacks and spent two weeks working on the pile. Over the years, I travel back every year to remember my fallen brothers. In that time I’ve become family with Janice Henry’s sister. Although I never met Henry personally, knowing Janice I feel as though we would have for sure been friends.

Henry was senior man at FDNY, Dean St, L105. He loved his job and loved “schooling” the probies. He passed on fire house rules, respect, knowledge, and hands on “how to” practical skills.
I am so proud to see how the legacy and kinship of FDNY continues to carry on. Every year, on 9/11,we gather together at Dean St. Station to celebrate and honor the lives lost and those FDNY who bravely carry on.
Henry was my beloved brother and is missed everyday.
