Kevin’s father was a retired FDNY Chief. He had worked for NYC EMS prior to working for FDNY.
He was conducting a search for squatters in a vacant building during fire suppression operations while on detail to another firehouse in Brooklyn. The burning ceiling collapsed and he was separated from his Lieutenant. While a tower ladder was being raised to his location‚ he jumped out a window‚ already suffering from life threatening burns. He would succumb the next day.
Kevin was a probationary firefighter at the time of his death.
God Bless you Kevin, Can’t believe its 32 Years you left us. You were a good friend to know. May you rest in peace
