Michael Martin

Michael Martin died on November 27‚ 2012‚ after suffering a heart attack while participating in a first responder training program at the Luzerne County Community College Public Safety Training Institute.

A resident of Hazleton‚ Pennsylvania‚ he was the son of Antonetta (D’Amato) Martin of Hazleton and the late Robert A. Martin. Michael was a 1980 graduate of Bishop Hafey High School and the owner/operator of Martin’s Printing in Hazleton. He was employed at PPL Susquehanna and was a member of the fire brigade at the nuclear power plant in Salem Township.

An avid sports fan‚ Michael was very active in the Hazleton Little League and Bishop Hafey athletics. He was a devoted son and husband‚ a loving father‚ brother‚ nephew‚ cousin‚ and friend.

He was survived by his wife‚ the former Cathy Carr; children‚ Audra Marie‚ Robert‚ and Michael; his mother‚ Antonetta Martin; his sister‚ Mary Anne Hornack; and many aunts‚ uncles‚ and cousins.
