Michael Wayne “Mike” Webb, of Rocky Mount, was born October 9, 1968. On Saturday, November 13, 2021, at the age of 53, he went to be with his Lord.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Odell and Maggie Webb and EK and Frances Shumate, and his father-in-law, Ralph Prillaman.

Michael was a faithful servant to his Callaway community as a member of the Callaway Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad for 35 years and served as a deacon of Piedmont Presbyterian Church. He never met a stranger. Whether grabbing a bite to eat, delivering oil for Davenport Energy, or driving a bus for Franklin County Public Schools, Mike always took the time to have a conversation with a neighbor.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lori Ann; children, Chelsea (Tyler) and Evan; and his grandchildren and joy, Everett, Clay, and Quinn. Also surviving are his parents, Johnny Mack and Dorothy; sister, Vicki (Chris) Craighead; brother-in-law, Brian (Melissa) Prillaman; sister-in-law, Karen Prillaman; mother-in-law, Janice Prillaman; his beloved nieces and nephews, Cody, Christa (Chinmay), Isaiah (Maggie), Mary Kendall, and Matthew; great nieces, Kenleigh, Skyler, and Isla; and all his Callaway Fire Department family.

Rest in peace, dear Mike. You will be missed, but your spirit, your love, and your light will forever shine bright in our hearts.

As long as we live, they too will live; for they are now a part of us, as we remember them.
