Firefighter Michael Z. Heithaus, age 42, of the Evansville Volunteer Fire Department died on March 30, 2025, of a heart attack after responding to an emergency medical call.
The National Emergency Training Center (NETC) campus will be closed during the government shutdown, including access to the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial.
