Patrick Henry McKinney‚ Jr.‚ 72‚ a volunteer firefighter with the Colorado City Volunteer Fire Department‚ died when his apparatus overturned on the way to a grass fire in Colorado City on May 5‚ 1998. The department’s former chief‚ he was 2 weeks short of celebrating 50 years as a volunteer firefighter.
